Nigerian passport holders need a visa for the United Arab Emirates, arranged before travel. What actually decides a United Arab Emirates application
Dubai splits into two quite different trips. One is leisure: a first international holiday, a family break, a shopping week. The other is trade — buyers going for stock, and coming home considerably heavier than they left. Both use the same visa, but they want different things from the booking, and the second group is usually better served by attention to the baggage allowance than by the last few thousand naira off the fare.
The requirements here have moved before
The rules governing who may apply and through which channel have changed more than once in recent years. This is a destination worth confirming rather than assuming, especially if you are working from advice a friend was given a year ago.
Your ticket and hotel have to line up with the visa
A confirmed return ticket and accommodation covering the stay are part of the application. If your dates shift after the visa is issued, tell us — a visa validity window that no longer matches your travel is a problem discovered at the airport rather than at the desk.
Buy the baggage with the ticket if you are going to buy stock

You need either accommodation covering your stay or a sponsor letter from a UAE resident who is hosting you. If you are staying with family, the sponsor route is usually simpler than booking a hotel you will not use. We will tell you which of the two your situation actually fits.
