Our story
From manual desk to digital platform
Most agencies still resell other people's technology. We rebuilt ourselves around our own — and that decision is the heart of the investment case.
Where we started
A back-office ticketing desk
Rayonner began as an accredited travel agency — fares quoted by hand, tickets issued from a back office, every booking touched by a person. Trusted, but bound by manual operations and the working hours of a desk.
The decision
We chose to build, not just sell
Instead of staying a reseller of someone else's storefront, we made a deliberate bet: own the technology. We invested in engineering and reimagined the agency as a software company that happens to sell travel.

A full-stack travel-technology platform
Today Rayonner runs live GDS flight inventory, curated packages and experiences, visa support, a partner network and a corporate travel platform — across a customer website, a mobile app, an operations back-office, a partner portal and a corporate portal, all on one unified backend with secure payments built in.

A travel operating system for Africa
Our roadmap turns the platform into the rails other agencies, corporates and travellers run on — extending distribution, automating ticketing end-to-end, and compounding every booking into data, reach and margin.

What we have built
Not a website — a connected travel platform, engineered in-house and running in production today.
Live flight booking
Real-time global fares through the IATA Global Distribution System — negotiated and published — with automated PNR creation, not screenshots of someone else's prices.
Packages & experiences
Curated, margin-rich travel products managed in-house through our own CMS and sold across every surface.
Partner network
A prepaid affiliate portal that lets travel agents nationwide book Rayonner inventory on a funded wallet — distribution that scales without scaling overhead.
Corporate travel platform
“Rayonner for Business” — a self-serve cockpit where companies book and manage staff travel on a prepaid wallet, with a staff directory, departments, role-based team logins, spend dashboards, cost-centre reporting and reconciliation. A recurring B2B revenue line on the same engine.
Secure payments
Two independent payment rails (Providus and Paystack) with signature-verified settlement — money moves safely and reconciles automatically.
Operations back-office
Role-based staff console for ticketing, reconciliation, content and support — the engine room that replaced the manual desk.
One unified backend
A single secure API powers the website, the app, the admin portal, the partner portal and the corporate portal — build once, ship everywhere.
